New Hire Enrollment Steps

How to Complete Your Enrollment

1

2

Review Your Benefit Options

Compare medical plans, explore voluntary benefits, and review costs before making your elections.

3

Enroll in Employee Navigator

Complete and submit your benefit elections within your new hire enrollment window.

Review Eligibility & Deadlines

Before making your elections, review who is eligible, when your benefits begin, and what happens if you miss your enrollment window.

1

Who is eligible?

Full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits.

2

When do benefits begin?

Benefits become available the first of the month after completing 60 days of employment.

3

When do I enroll?

You must enroll in benefits within 60 days of your hire date.

If you do not enroll during this timeframe, you will need to wait until Open Enrollment, which is generally in November.

4

When do premiums come out of my paycheck?

Premiums begin with the first paycheck after your policy becomes effective. You may be required to pay premiums in arrears.

For weekly and biweekly employees, if there are extra pay periods in a month, premiums are taken from the first four weekly paychecks or the first two biweekly paychecks. The extra pay period is premium-free.

5

Can I enroll and then drop coverage?

No. Once you enroll, you cannot change or drop benefits until Open Enrollment, unless you have a Qualifying Life Event, such as getting married, divorced, or having a baby.
